How to Choose a Chemical Safety Cabinet?
The choice of chemical safety cabinet can be considered from the aspects of storage container, storage capacity, use environment of the safety cabinet, chemical properties and management of special chemicals.

1. Use environment
Confirm the use environment of the safety cabinet, ensure that the safety cabinet is used indoors at a horizontal interface, and the environment is far away from fire and dry and ventilated.
Choose a floor-standing or desktop safety cabinet, or a safety storage cabinet (such as a 10-gallon safety cabinet) that is used in conjunction with the laboratory fume hood according to your needs. In addition, suitable PVC pallets can be configured according to the needs of leakage prevention in the cabinet.

2. Chemical properties
Confirm the attributes of the chemicals that you plan to store, and use color management and label management for safe storage to help you identify, manage, and distinguish various hazardous chemicals.
According to the chemical safety of the chemical substances to be stored in the plan, choose the safety cabinet of the corresponding category under the color and label management system, classify and grade the management of the chemicals, and avoid the danger of fire, toxic gas reaction and explosion caused by incompatible chemical storage.

Safety Precautions
1. The floor where the explosion-proof safety cabinet is placed should be level;
2. If multiple explosion-proof safety cabinets are placed together, the distance between each cabinet should not be less than 15 cm;
3. The place where the explosion-proof safety cabinet is placed should be far away from fire sources or other heat and heat dissipation instruments and equipment, and also away from splashing chemical liquids or slag;
4. There is an electrostatic grounding terminal at the lower corner of the outer wall on the left side of the cabinet. After the cabinet is properly placed, an electrostatic grounding wire should be connected to remove the static electricity accumulated in the cabinet in time;

6. If the explosion-proof safety cabinet is placed in a confined narrow space, or the place where the cabinet is placed has strict restrictions on the volatilization of flammable liquids, then a ventilation system should be connected to the vent of the cabinet to eliminate the volatilization in the cabinet. Flammable liquid accumulated in the body;
7. At night or under dark conditions with insufficient light, if you need to place objects in the cabinet or perform other operations, you should turn on the surrounding lights or carry an explosion-proof flashlight for operation;
8. It is strictly forbidden to light candles, alcohol lamps, or use lighters near the cabinet that may cause combustion and explosion;
9. It is strictly forbidden to smoke, throw fireworks or discard other burning objects in the place where the cabinet is stored;
10. After opening the door, pay attention to closing and locking. It is strictly forbidden to open the cabinet door for a long time to avoid the fire source from entering the cabinet;
11. Always pay attention to protect any door locks installed on the cabinet to prevent the door locks from being hit or damaged;
12. At ordinary times, pay attention to protect the cabinet to prevent collision, scratching or splashing of corrosive chemical liquids on the cabinet, so as not to damage the cabinet or damage the coating on the cabinet;
13. It is strictly forbidden to put strong corrosive chemicals in an explosion-proof safety cabinet. Strongly corrosive chemicals should not be placed in the same cabinet as flammable and combustible chemicals, and special strong corrosive chemical cabinets should be purchased for classified storage.
