What are Spill Pallets and Spill Decks?

Spill Pallets and Spill Decks are weird in plastic pallet products. They are specially designed to prevent and control the leakage of oil drums, chemical drums and other oil and chemical containers that are heavily used in modern factories, warehousing, logistics, and transportation industries.

According to the EPA standard EPA 40CFR264.175 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as anti-leakage and secondary containment equipment, the leakage volume of Spill Pallets and Spill Decks must be greater than 10% of the sum of the volume of a single storage container and all storage containers. The larger one. For example, 4 buckets of Spill Pallets are placed on top of 4 55-gallon containers, 4 55-gallons add up to 220 gallons, 10% of 220 gallons is 22 gallons, compared with a single bucket of 55 gallons, 55 gallons are larger, then, in line with the US EPA If specified, the spill volume of Spill Pallets and Spill Decks must be greater than 55 gallons. Some people say that my leakage is only a little bit, not so much, and there is no need for such a large leakage volume (this requires the height of the tray to be as low as possible, and the cost is low). But we need to take precautions before they happen. In extreme cases, everything may leak out (but this is unlikely), resulting in a significant increase in product costs. If the tray has a large leakage volume, the size of the tray needs to be large, and it is completely possible for a single container to completely leak. For comparison, choosing an appropriate leakage volume can effectively prevent possible leakage and will not increase the manufacturing cost of the product a lot.

1.Spill Pallets

Spill Pallets are also called anti-leak Pallets, anti-spill Pallets, oil drum Pallets, anti-leakage Pallets, anti-spill Pallets, leak-holding pallets, oil-receiving Pallets, etc. They are essentially a kind of leak-controlling, with leak-holding groove Plastic tray. Other functions are the same as ordinary pallets. There is a forklift slot (4-barrel square Spill Pallets can be operated by forklift trucks in 4 directions), which can store, handle, and circulate these oil drums and chemical drums. All leaks will flow into the drain tank. Will not flow to the ground. Of course, Spill Pallets can also turn ordinary goods, but this is an overkill.

According to the loading form of several 55-gallon buckets on Spill Pallets and IBC container buckets, they are usually divided into 2 buckets of Spill Pallets, 4 buckets of Spill Pallets, and IBC container buckets of Spill Pallets. Generally, 4 buckets of pallets are square, but sometimes in order to put them on the wall and make better use of space, there are also 4 buckets of linear Spill Pallets. The height of 2 barrels of Spill Pallets is generally 43 cm, and the height of 4 barrels of Spill Pallets has 2 types, one is 43 cm, and the other is 30 cm. Spill Pallets with a height of 30 cm are generally called 4-barrel shallow Spill Pallets. The higher the height of Spill Pallets, under normal circumstances, the greater the effective volume of the drain tank, the greater the amount of stored leaked liquid.

Spill Pallets are used to store and transport common IBC barrels, which are ton barrels. IBC Spill Pallets have a very large leakage capacity. The system itself is equipped with a container that can hold a 5-gallon pail, which is conducive to quick and easy dispensing. It can be operated with a forklift. Two IBC ton barrels can be stacked.

Spill Pallets have their own matching slopes, which can be used universally, making it easy, fast and simple to move the chemical storage barrels up and down; the high-strength, removable and detachable leakage isolation plate is easy to disassemble and clean, and can also be replaced; The drain hole is also called the sewage outlet, which can drain the liquid in the drain tank, and most of the liquid can be recycled.

2.Spill Decks

The height of Spill Decks is lower than ordinary Spill Pallets, usually only 15 cm, so it is called a platform. Due to the relatively low height, Spill Decks can become a part of the factory floor, saving space and improving safety and efficiency, making it easier to move oil drums and chemical drums on and off.

According to the number of 55 gallon oil barrels, there are generally 2 barrels of Spill Decks, 4 barrels of Spill Decks, 6 barrels of Spill Decks, 8 barrels of Spill Decks, etc.

Under normal circumstances, Spill Decks is used to store oil drums, chemical drums, etc., but not to transport and recycle these containers. It is placed in the workshop and serves as a platform on which people can perform various operations (oil extraction, filling, sub-packing, etc.). In general, Spill Decks is short and there is no forklift slot underneath. However, with the advancement of technology and engineering, there is also a transparent forklift slot under the 15 cm forklift slot, which can be operated with a forklift when it is empty, stacking, packing, and moving. Spill Decks with a forklift slot is very convenient. However, when the chemical barrel is full of oil drums, due to insufficient strength (the height of the forklift tank is generally 8-9 cm), it is generally not possible to operate with a forklift, and there may be insufficient strength.

Like Spill Pallets, Spill Decks has the same grilles, as well as matching slopes and drainage holes. Spill Decks accessories also have a connection buckle, which can lock the independent Spill Decks and cannot move relative to each other, forming a truly stable and reliable workstation."
