We all know that Europe's requirements for fire safety cabinets are generally higher than those of the United States or Asia, especially in Germany, where the requirements for fire resistance are mostly 90 minutes. The technical engineers of SYSBEL have also taken many detours to develop such high-grade refractory cabinets to challenge the most difficult products in the industry. Because a lot of thoughts have been spent on the selection of refractory materials to investigate, compare and test, and conduct various theoretical studies, research and simulations in the field of heat. More than a year later, by chance, TÜV Rheinland, founded in 1872, was willing to try to do testing and certification for the Sibel fire safety cabinet. The test results are very smooth, everything seems to be the same as the R&D staff expected. In the most stringent EN1361-1 fire resistance test test, SYSBEL's SE890450 refractory cabinet burned for 90 minutes at a high temperature of 1006℃, and the maximum temperature of the 15 temperature measurement points in the cabinet was far lower than the standard requirements, meeting the European standard EN14470- 1:2004 various standards and testing requirements.

This time, SYSBEL succeeded again, standing on the commanding heights of fire safety cabinets with higher international standards.

What is EN14470-1 Standard

EN14470-1 is a safety standard for stored chemicals formulated in Europe in 2004. Most people in China understand FM safety certification, and few people know EN14470-1 standard. In fact, EN14470-1 standard is much higher than FM standard.

The EN14470-1 standard contains three main standard requirements:

(1) Reduce the fire caused by chemicals stored in the safety cabinet, and improve the protection of materials in the event of a fire. The latter also sets a fire resistance time (FR, unit: minute);

(2) Reduce the discharge of chemical gases into the environment;

(3) Keep the leakage of chemical gas in the cabinet;
